Commercialising Science, Technology and the Arts

More than $2.2 billion raised for clients and partners

Dr Patrick Silvey

I am a specialist in commercialising innovations and establishing new ventures in science, technology, and the arts. I work with organisations in industry, government and the university sector to grow businesses, identify new income streams, build enterprise value, secure investment and progress ideas and innovations to commercial solutions. I advise government clients on the design of policies, programs and strategies that stimulate industry growth and attract new investment.

I have raised more than $2.2 billion in capital for my clients. I sat on the Investment Panel for the $80 million QIC Business Development Fund for 3 years, the ILab Tech Incubator Advisory Board and the QUT Research and Commercialisation Committee for more than a decade and I have been an Advisory Panel member for dozens of other organisations over 20 years.

I have a PhD in biotechnology and an MBA (major: new venture finance; University Medal). I have completed the AICD Company Directors Course and I was previously a Director in Corporate Finance at PwC and a Postdoc in Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland.
